Paul joined the MCIA board in 2012, bringing with him extensive motorcycle and automotive experience from both a marketing and technical standpoint. Starting out as a technician with Renault Trucks in 1984, he moved into sales and marketing in 1988.
A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, Paul joined Suzuki in 2006 as Motorcycle Marketing Manager after experience working with brands such as Unipart, Rover and Skoda. Two years later he became General Manager for Motorcycle Sales and Marketing, and joined the Suzuki board in 2015.
Harley-Davidson UK Ltd
Paul joined the MCIA board in 2016, bringing with him many years of automotive experience, firstly in cars and more recently motorcycles. From the early years with Jaguar Land Rover, Paul has worked in many countries across the world in both strategic and retail operations with brands such as Citroën, Bentley and Triumph Motorcycles.
A lifelong petrol-head, Paul joined Harley-Davidson in 2019 as UK & Ireland Country Manager taking on the role of vice-chair of the MCIA at the same time.
Ducati (UK) Ltd
Tim Maccabee joined Ducati UK in 2001 as Sales Manager, progressing to become MD in 2005. He has since also taken responsibility for the markets of Norway and Sweden.
He has been a biker since the age of 16 having started out on a red Garelli Rekord and still enjoys riding regularly both on the road and on track. Personally driven projects instituted at Ducati under Tim’s direction have included the company’s move to premises overlooking Silverstone circuit, a long involvement in the BikeSafe programme and establishment of one of the most successful one-make racing championships – the Ducati TriOptions cup which forms part of the British Superbike championship series.
Tim has previous business experience with Ford Motor Company having held a number of positions within Sales and Marketing including Dealer facing roles as well as Fleet, Product Marketing and others. Extra-curricular activities include involvement in the Speakers for Schools programme giving motivational talks at schools on the subject of self-development and career planning.

Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V.
A lifelong motorcyclist, and former moto-cross racer, Howard has over 30 years experience working within the motorcycle industry at all levels having spent ten years working within a motorcycle dealership in a technical capacity before joining Kawasaki Motors UK in 1991.
Holding a number of different positions within the Kawasaki organisation before being appointed General Manager in 2004 has been invaluable in terms of aiding a balanced understanding of the industry, its needs and the challenges it faces in the future.
Tony became Chief Executive of the Motorcycle Industry Association in September 2017, following Steve Kenward's retirement. He originally joined the MCIA board back in 2005 when he was first appointed as the Managing Director of Piaggio UK. A very keen motorcycling enthusiast and racer, Tony has been riding bikes since his early teens and still very much enjoys the high speed thrill of bike competition both on and off road today.
From a business and career perspective, he first started his working life in his family’s catering business but in the late 80’s joined the Automotive Industry as a car salesman where his career progression took a steady rise before joining the Motorcycle Industry in 1998. Working on the retail side for the Country’s largest Motorcycle Dealer Group at Director level, he then decided in 2004 that he wanted to a work for a major manufacturer and subsequently joined the Piaggio in August of that year. With the Group now comprising of 6 major brands including Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa, Tony sees his position as one of the most envied but challenging roles in the industry today. On a personal level, Tony is married, has 4 children (all girls) and therefore away from work and riding bikes he is still at “full throttle” as the family keeps his spare time to a bare minimum.

Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., Branch UK
As General Manager, Sales and Marketing for YMUK, Adam comes from a background of motorcycle retail working for both a small independent dealership as well as a large retail group working in all areas of the retail business.
Joining Yamaha UK as an Area Sales Manager, his wealth of retail experience helped establish strong relationships with dealers across the South of England. Moving on to National Sales Manager then Divisional Manager at YMUK, and now taking full responsibility for UK Sales and Marketing for all products.
Honda (UK) Ltd
Neil joined the MCIA board in 2017. Having started his career in sales and marketing with Ford and Honda, Neil also worked for People First, the UK Sector Skills Council and in consultancy.
Prior to his current role as Head of Motorcycling at Honda, his responsibilities included power products sales in the UK and training and development across the European region.
During his career, Mark has experienced mainly two types of industry - the motorcycle industry and high street retail. He was with Carnell Motorcycles as a regional manager for seven years and joined Piaggio in 2011.
The remaining years of employment have all been spent managing high street retail stores for blue chip companies ranging from 800k turnover in the early days to 10M turnover super stores up to 2011.
He has three main interests outside of work - classic car restorations (projects), PADI as a certified advanced diver in some of the world’s key destinations, and finally flying, for which a PPL licence has always been a dream and desire, achieving the ability to take off and fly to destinations only limited to the plane’s fuel tank range.
KTM Sportmotorcycle UK
Matt Walker joined the MCIA board in January 2016 when he became General Manager of KTM Sportmotorcycle UK and Husqvarna Motorcycles UK. In February 2017, he was promoted to Managing Director of both companies, an impressive climb for the former area sales manager who joined the Austrian company back in 2004.
Allied to roles in the industry held during the formative years of his career, Matt has gained enviable experience in every area of the business, experience he is using to drive KTM and Husqvarna’s sales growth and market share upwards in the UK. The KTM Group has set ambitious targets for future expansion to consolidate its position as Europe’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, and from its new Silverstone base Matt is driving the business forward during the week - then delivering on KTM’s READY TO RACE ethos by competing in local motocross meetings at the weekends.
Black Horse Motorcycle Finance
Dave Macey joined Blackhorse in 1988 working initially in the Automotive Industry, then moving into the Motorcycle Industry in 1999.
Dave is Franchise Development Manager, part of the Senior Leadership team for Blackhorse Motorcycles, and is the Chair of the MCIA Service Providers Special Member Group. Dave has a wide variety of experience with his 29 years in the Automotive and Motorcycle Industry including developing partner relationships, marketing and sales development, legal and compliance and sponsorship. He has been a biker since 1999 and is a huge motorcycle race fan, regularly attending British Superbikes, Northwest 200, Isle of Man TT and Macau Grand Prix.

Mark joined the MCIA Board in April 2019, following his election as Chair of the Accessory & Component Suppliers Special Member Group.
Dean joined the MCIA Board in April 2019, following his election as Vice Chair of the Manufacturers and Importers Special Member Group. Dean represents the manufacturer and importer members with less than 1.5% market share.
